Begonia Maculata is also known as Begonia 'polka dot' and is known for its long pointed leaves, large white dots on the foliage and stunning red undersides.

GENERAL BEGONIA CARE:

FERTILISER: I highly recommend GT foliage focus or complete focus for all Begonia varieties. If used regularly you will notice a great difference in your plants growth. Complete focus will help support blooming Begonia.

SOIL: A well draining airy soil mix is best but also one that has some moisture retention, our Wildvine House plant blend is perfect for Begonia varieties.

WATER: Begonia don't like soaking wet feet, so allow the soil to dry out to about 70% between waterings. If you notice the leaves beginning to droop a little/start to go pale in colour, that is a good indication that it is time to water.

LIGHT: Begonia like indirect light, they grow well in slightly lower light conditions.

HUMIDITY: Most Begonia can grow happily in your average household humidity but like most tropical houseplants, they will thrive with above average humidity and warmth. Group plants together to help create some ambient humidity.
