Fern fibre grow poles are your climbing plants best friends!
They are a natural product made from sustainably harvested, New Zealand tree fern (kuripaka), so they are the closest thing to what your "houseplants" would climb onto in nature.
The fibrous construction of tree fern gives your plants the perfect structure in which their arial roots love to grow and cling too.
The thing I love most about fern fibre poles is that they don't need to be kept moist for your plants to attach and climb! They are the most low maintenance pole choice and a favourite to climbing aroids.
Available in 4 sizes to suit any plant.
40cm x 2.5cm x 2.5cm
50cm x 4cm x 4cm
75cm x 4 cm x 4cm
100cm x 5cm x 5cm
100cm x 4cm x 4cm (until sold out)
Please note: 75cm and 100cm poles are considered an "oversized" item and will be posted separately, therefore will have a small additional postage fee.
Tree Fern Fibre Totem Poles
Give your poles a good hose down to remove any loose fibres and let dry out completely before use or storage.
You can soak your poles in water before potting up but is not a necessity.
Youll need; A fern pole the same size as the pole you are extending, a bamboo (or similar) rod cut to 2x the length of the drill bit, a drill bit the diameter of the rod.
Step one: Drill a hole in the center of both poles, using a drill bit that matches the diameter of the bamboo rod you are using.
Step two: Insert the rod into the pole you are extending
Step three: Add the pole extension on top, making sure to push the poles together as far as theyll go.
Step four: Attach your plant to the new pole using our wildvine plant velcro for support, this will encourage your plant to root onto the new pole quicker.
