Self watering pots are fantastic if you are short on time, travel a lot or just want a low maintenance way of growing plants.
They are best suited for use with substrates such as pon, leca, pumice or perlite but can be used with soil if you have a well draining chunky mix with suitable aeration.
These pots are an ideal size for Hoya and small Alocasia for example.
The cover pot measures 10cm high x 9cm diameter
The insert pot measures 8.5cm high x 9cm diameter
How to use:
- Simply fill the insert pot with your substrate of choice (things like pon, leca, pumice and perlite should be rinsed well before use to remove dust)
- Plant desired plant into the substrate
- Fill the cover pot 1/3 of the way with water (you can also add a diluted ratio of plant food if your substrate doesn't contain any fertiliser, pon has its own slow release fert in it so won't need to be supplemented for at least 6months after planting.)
- Place insert into cover pot and you are good to go!
