Self watering pots are the perfect for use with a semi-hydro growing substrate, such a leca or pon. They make growing easy and low maintenance! Also ideal for those plants that love a constant supply of moisture.

These self watering pots come with a white cover pot - which is used as a water reservoir. It also comes with a black insert pot - which is what you plant your plant into, and this sits up off the bottom of the cover pot, to allow the plant & substrate to wick water up as needed. Lastly it comes with a water level indicator - This shows you what the level of water in the reservoir is and lets you visually see when it needs to be topped up.

SIZE:

Cover Pot ~ 12cm Diameter x 14.5cm High

Insert Pot ~ 11.5cm Diameter x 11cm High

How to use:

  • Simply fill the insert pot with your substrate of choice (things like pon, leca, pumice and perlite should be rinsed well before use to remove dust)
  • Plant desired plant into the substrate
  • Place insert into cover pot
  • Fill the cover pot with water using the fill slot at the top of the insert pot until the indocator shows the correct level of water (you can also add a diluted ratio of plant food if your substrate doesn't contain any fertiliser, pon has its own slow release fert in it so won't need to be supplemented for at least 6months after planting.)
