Our Wildvine self watering pots make growing semi-hydro SO much easier. They are made from sturdy, transparent plastic which means you can keep an eye on your plants root development. They also have a removable water tray at the base, which can easily unclick for cleaning or for when you water flush your growing media.

There are anti-spiral indentations up the sides of the pots to help prevent roots from spiralling around the pot (root bound) and vented slots to allow even more oxygen and air circulation to the rootzone.

Whats great about these specific pots is that they can be used as a standard plant pot as well! Treat the water reservoir as you would a normal plant saucer, so instead of filling it with water, you'd water your plant as normal, let it drain, then tip any excess water out of the saucer before clipping it back on. EASY! No need to find a matching saucer for your pot! The vented sides will also be beneficial in allowing more circulation to the root zone. These pots work fantastic with our Wildvine Hoya & Aroid blend as a substrate.

  • Semi-hydro growing is the low maintenance, soil-free alternative to growing indoor plants. Leca and Pon are the two most common substrates to use. It has a multitude of benefits such as the reduction in pests like fungus gnats, which need organic matter like soil to thrive in. It is a low maintenance way of growing (which if you're a busy person or are away from home for a few days at a time, can mean it gives you peace of mind that your plants will be okay) and you don't need to know "when to water", simply keep the water reservoir filled up.
